Weekend Fun

Let's see, Saturday we drove about 2 miles or so up our road, parked the truck, and took Maggie and Rex for a walk. Actually, climb is a better word. Luckily, there were no bear or mountain lion sightings, but we did see a ton of elk poop!! Sunday, our friends Dick and Lisa were kind enough to let us borrow their ATV. We rode 30-something miles with our friend Tom. There was some really deep snow up in the mountains and we saw lots of tracks, but no animals. [sigh] One day I will see a moose. So today we decided to head to Discovery for a day a skiing since they got 6" of powder overnight. It was 50 and mostly sunny when we left the house. About 45 min from the house, it was in the 30s and snowing buckets!! Does "buckets" work with snow or is that only rain? Anyway, they got another 7" today and it was almost too much powder to even enjoy yourself. We had a nice surprise waiting for us when we got home. Rex (possibly with Maggie as his partner in crime) destroyed the laundry room. At least 2 rolls of paper towels were shredded, Rex's crate was pushed to the middle of the room, Maggie's bed and blanket had been pulled from her crate, and to top it all off there were potatoes everywhere!! Chris thinks they wanted to make some potato salad! Really, I was laughing too hard to be mad. Hope everyone had as much fun as we did this weekend!
